The benefits to the new 5.0 Carbon is that this new higher modulus carbon is lighter weight and allows an archer to add in extra front insert, point weight or lighted nocks to the arrow while keeping the overall weight of the arrow similar to the original axis that wouldn’t have those. For the archer who is lower in pulling weight or shorter in draw length and is looking to save any weight possible to boost speed then this is a great arrow for that. The 5.0 is about 2 grains lighter per inch of arrow. These options and higher modulus carbon do come at a cost though with the price tag being higher for the 5.0. If you are not chasing numbers or on a limited budget the Standard Match Grade Axis are still and always will be an awesome choice.
